Self Esteem Help Cards will help you 'climb back up the mountain'. They were designed to help you change your negative thoughts to positive thoughts. Thoughts are very powerful things. Thoughts when verbalized become words and words when acted become become actions. You eventually act out and become what you were originally thinking. If you think negatively then you will act and become negative. If you think positively then you will act and become positive. The problem is that you may have spent many years subconsciously thinking negative thoughts. These were due to the experiences in your life. The negative things that happened to you created negative thoughts afterwards. The negative things people said to you created negative thoughts afterwards. Your thoughts then took on a negative bias with little or no room for positive thoughts. Your conversation was probably negative, littered with negative words. Your mood, demeanour, facial expressions emotions were all negative. Your life became negative. You could argue that because of your experiences it was natural to be negative. Yes I agree. You would have to be a robot not to feel what you felt after certain experiences. The problem is that you may have become a victim of your own mind, your negative thoughts. You began to carry round those thoughts in your head, when you should have been moving on with your life. They became habitual. They became a part of you. They began to affect you in a destructive way. They changed who you really are. I have been through a few things in my life and I could write a book about being negative, having low esteem and low confidence. Most of my life had been about putting myself down, constantly thinking how useless I was and forever doubting myself. Running the negative, self doubt, low esteem pictures over and over again in my head. Until one day. The biggest positive change in my life happened the day I started to Love and Respect myself. You see that was the one major thing that was missing. I had no real love for myself. I was on negative auto-pilot. In fact if I had treated my friends the way I had treated myself I would probably have lost every one of them. I was treating myself abysmally. Then I began to realise that I am me. This is my life. My life is what I make it. Instead of living for today, now, I had been allowing my negative past to kidnap my everyday thinking. I had been a victim of my own thought processes. Loving and respecting yourself begins with a thought. "I will love and respect myself today and everyday for the rest of my life." Why shouldn't I? I began to realise that I am as good as anyone. No better, but as good as. I am not religious, but I do believe in a supreme intelligence, some people might call it god. This god gave me an opportunity on this earth and I was going to take advantage of it, savour and enjoy it. I realised that I was human. I make mistakes. I have weaknesses. I am far from perfect. But hey, neither is anyone else. So those days of humiliation and embarrassment when I messed up are gone. I began to focus on positives. When I focused positively, I thought positively. When I thought positively I spoke positively. Then I eventually began to act and become the person that I really was - a confident human being with greater self-esteem able to deal with life's problems in a positive way. Now it is time for you to start the journey back to where you should be. A place where the world is good, full of opportunities and you are a happy, strong, confident, positive and independent person. I believe you can do this. I did. Habit is the key. You now need to become an habitual positive thinker. There is no more room for negative thinking. Our Self Esteem Help Cards are full of positive words.
